| Wendy Lascher |

Over the past 36 years, Wendy Cole Lascher has argued appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, the U.S. Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, all six districts of the California Court of Appeal, and in the U.S. District Court.
Admitted to the California Bar in 1973, Lascher is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal, Seventh and Ninth Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California. Under her former married name, Wendy Wilner, Lascher began her career as an associate of appellate pioneer Edward L. Lascher in 1973. She became a shareholder in the practice in 1977, the two were married in 1980, and Wendy Lascher took over the practice when Edward Lascher died in 1991.
A fellow and officer of the highly selective American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, Lascher is also a past president and member of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1973 after earning a B.A. in political science, with distinction, from Stanford University in 1970. She is a past chair of the State Bar’s Committee on Appellate Courts.
Lascher is a frequent speaker on continuing education panels on appellate law and has taught the subject at the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law. She is active in a number of local legal organizations, is past president of the Ventura County Bar Association, and is a member of the board of trustees of the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law. Lascher has served on numerous pro bono boards of directors. She is editor of the Ventura County Bar Association's monthly newsletter, CITATIONS.
In addition to her legal practice, Lascher volunteers as a Big Sister, currently for a ten-year-old girl. Her other outside interests include hiking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family, including three sons and two granddaughters.

Eric Reed joined Lascher & Lascher in September 2007. He concentrates on appellate briefing, as well as major motion work for Lascher & Lascher's attorney clients.
Prior to joining Lascher & Lascher, Eric was employed as a civil litigation associate with Tarzana-based Wasserman, Comden & Casselman.
A 2005 graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law, Eric served as articles editor for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review. He received Witkin and CALI awards in election law and bankruptcy. He interned with California’s Office of Administrative Hearings and for the Honorable Randall J. Newsome of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California.
Eric graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College in 2000. He is a fourth-generation Ventura County resident and currently lives in Oxnard with wife Jennifer and daughter Emilia.

| Aris Karakalos |

Aris Karakalos joined Lascher & Lascher in February 2006 after practicing in the areas of employment litigation, real estate and immigration at Adishian Law Group, in El Segundo, California. At Lascher & Lascher he specializes in civil and criminal appellate practice. Karakalos has worked on a broad array of legal matters, including administrative writs, writs of habeas corpus, family law issues, parole hearings, contract disputes, wrongful termination, and immigration.
In June 2001, Karakalos earned a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Art History from Grinnell College. In May 2005, he received his J.D. from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona, Tucson, where he was a member of the Journal of International and Comparative Law.
As a judicial intern for the Honorable Roslyn O. Silver (U.S. Dist. Ct ., Ariz.) in 2003, Karakalos co-authored a published opinion in a wrongful death suit against several large tobacco companies. At Adishian Law Group, he played a key role in securing a six-figure settlement in a wrongful termination suit stemming from claims of gender discrimination. Karakalos is currently involved in a Ninth Circuit pro bono case seeking to secure political asylum for a Cambodian couple.
Fluent in Greek and proficient in Italian, Karakalos attended high school at the American Community School in Athens, Greece, where much of his family still resides. His interests include basketball, volleyball, travel, backgammon, camping, and anything having to do with the beach.
Karakalos is licensed to practice in all state courts of California, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Karakalos is a former Vice-President, and current board member of the Ventura County Barristers, as well as an active member of the Ventura County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and Ventura County Inns of Court.
Karakalos recently married Ariane Paul.
